I'm getting a whining/whirring noise under the hood and it varies with speed ... the cooling fan seems ok so should I be thinking Tensioner, A/C bearings, Alternator bearings ... aby idea's ??

Altenator is my first guess. Other tend to make more of a rumble whirring sound.

I’m going listen with a stethoscope tomorrow on everything
Absolutely correct ... sprayed some Yamalube protectant/Lubricant on bearing area and noise is gone for noe ... probably should replace alternator

They also make a complete gates tensioner and idler and belt combo. Well worth the money if one is bad. Change them all.
