well i have been tossing around the idea of replacing my 04 adren with an 07 v-8 lmtd s/t.
when i checked with g.e. fleet, the company i lease my vehicles with, they posted on their website that any orders for 07's will not begin to be built until 12/04 and that there is a 16-20 week lead time due to plant closures ( holiday weeks ) and possible " hold backs ".
on friday i went to a local dealer to test drive a 07 v-8 and when i asked about the delay for ordering a new one , the sales rep checked with the owner who claims he can have an ordered job 2 any way i want it in about 4-6 weeks.
as far as the test drive, i was not impressed with the off the line performance of the v-8. in my opinion it was no different from my 04, although when you were at about 40 mph and got on it ,there was a better response. after i left the dealer, i called todd z and he explained that the horsepower is spead out into the upper rrpm's and that first gear rev's out premature. any input would be appreciated on both issues. thanks
