I have an ARC one piece on my 2001. I bought it because the OEM's were not going to be available for a couple of months after I bought the Trac. We were going on vacation and didn't want to leave any of things in the back without a locked cover.

I like that it matches the color of the Trac and is watertight.

What I don't like is that it sits a bit high and you lose a bit of a view out the rear view mirror. I've had to take it off a couple of times when hauling something tall, like a refrigerator and it is heavy and takes two people to put it on and off.

Overall I am satisfied with it.

Has anyone pondered the thought of trying to maybe paint the ford toneau to match their ST? If I knew someone would guarantee me that the paint would stick, then that would be ideal for me. I would have the look I like, and yet it would be functional., which is the most important issue.

So... to sum up, it would appear that if looks and water-tightness are your priority, a one-piece fiberglas cover is the way to go. (BTW - Thanks for the photos! Some of you have some really -SHARP- looking ST's! Really like the looks of those hard shells - especially cool is your yellow ST Chet!)

But, if versatility is what you want, the two-piece fllding covers seem to be the popular favorites. Top two in that category seem to be the Ford OEM cover and the Advance Cover.

Finally, there are the soft covers. I'd say they are probably the simplest, but lack the security.

So... after all of your input, I think I'm back at looking at the Advance Cover. Now tell where where to find the very best deal!

Thanks again Trac'ers...! Your the best!
