I want to tint my front 2 windows. I know others on here probably have tint on theirs. Does anyone know what percent tint would match my rear factory tinted glass??

What does everyone else put on theirs?

Law states in MS that your front windows cannot be anything less than 35% of VLT which is Visable Light Transmission and no less than 20% of Reflectivity in the rear.

rears are 21% and each state/province has there own laws. You're going to want to go to your tint shop and find out.

From what I have read, the rear is about 21%.

I have 30% front and it looks lighter then the back.

yeah they just started the tint laws in june of 05 here in MS. Ill check around at the tint shops and see what they say. And now if you have tint , it has to be measured with a light meter to check for light transmission level.

I don't know how these things work, but my tint had water bubbles the first week, but then they went away. I was told this is normal. Now I've seen a lot of tint with air bubbles, and it makes the whole car look bad. I'm assuming this is the film that folks buy in Wal-Mart, because it isn't even the same color as stock.

I'm pretty sure I had 20% put on my front windows. And yes, there should be little water bubbles for the first day/2-days (depending on where you are - temperature).

I got pulled over about 6 months ago and the first thing I did.....HIT THE SWITCHES AND ROLLED THOSE WINDOWS DOWN!!

I gave the cop a good laugh and he let me go. It was like 6a.m. on a Thursday and I was going to work.

yeah i got pulled over at about 5am on my way to work. he pulled up next to me at a light, I turned onto the airport road....because well I work out of the airport, he then cut across two lanes and the intersection and pulled me over on airport road. Took out his light meter, asked me where was headed and I told him i had to be punched in at 5:15. He wrote the ticket quick and let me go.....tok me to get them un-tinted and I would get the ticket dropped.....BLAH. Funny thing is, well my truck is bright yellow and all my co-workers were asking what I did later in the day, LOL

Too funny! But unfortunate....I think that the yellow ST's with black trim and tinted windows looks awesome! I'd probably notice too. At least you know your co-workers look at your ST enough to notice!
