Basically, automatic updates were downloaded. I have it set to tell me when the downloads are downloaded and then I say yes to install them.

Sooo, seven important updates are downloaded and it wants me to restart to let them install.

So I do this and it says installing 1 of 7, and it runs and runs and runs....

So I reboot and it does it again and again and again...

I want to remove these updates but I am not seeing a way to do so.

I think the issue is that they are downloaded but not installed.

So I really don't know where they are and if it is even possible to remove them????

Any help would be appreciated.

Go to control panel, add remove programs, check show updates. Remove the ones tat are causing the problem. Then go to windows update site and load them manually. Iam have mine set to alert me. Then I always mannually load and install them.

I did find an "Show Installed Updates".

I click on it and see them but you can do nothing with them. No clicking (right or left).

It is just a list.

Coastie,

Is it possible that you are low on disk space on the C: drive?

If so, the installation process may not have enough temp space to unpack and install the updates.

Try to run will several GB free at all time.

Nope... I have 87 gig still empty...

Everything is working properly, it is just a hassle forcing it off and letting it boot back up.

I am about to go do a restore to an earlier time and then go to the update page an do one at a time.

It has 7 updates and presently will not clear the first of seven.

Computer are such a love hate thing...
