windsheild wipers and brakes

Does anyone else feel a vibration when the tranny is in drive the brake is fully depressed and the windsheild wipers are on in the brake? Is this normal or not its only when the brake is depressed and the wipers are on....:wacko:

No, but now that you mention it, my factory radio would loose a radio station to static if I ran the windshield washer.

If you mean the windshield wiper 'thump' that you can feel in the brake pedal, then yes, had that in both my ST's. It has been discussed here before (over a year ago) and it is normal

It is common for the Trac to have a vibration with the wipers on and the brake pedal pushed.



It has to do with the mounting of the wiper motor and nothing else. Your feeling the torque of the motor thru the brake pedal..

I have an '04...never had that feeling in the brake pedal..may be ford adressed the problem on latter models...but I it happens I will know why...thanks
