Hey Guys,

I am looking to buy a Full interior Carpet like the one used in

the Project section: http://www.mysporttrac.com/mysporttrac/projects/carpet/Carpet_Project.html

I am basically looking for Nifty Products 63943 (Dark Graphite Grey)

The manufacturer (Lund/Nifty) doesn't make them anymore. I am hoping

one of you bought it, and never installed it.

Please let me know.

I am assuming you mean the Explorer Sport (two Door)?

I am not sure byt I think a 96-99 2 door explorer sport might work.

But - I'd rather let any experienced member here chime in. As

I am new to the Sport Trac.

Why not just use the old carpet as a template and cut your own. Would be cheaper and a better quality of carpet.

A 95-01 4-door Explorer carpet should fit fine. If you use one of those, you'll either need to remove the rubber flooring in your ST, or remove the padding from the back of the carpet. The kit sold for the ST doesn't have any padding on it, as it was designed to fit over the rubber floor.

Les,

The pre-made carpets are molded to fit properly over all the humps and bumps in our floors. Cutting your own could be done, but will probably end up with a bunch of wrinkles and creases.

I don't have nearly as much experience with the Gen 2 stuff, but from what I have seen, I'm willing to bet it would be very close. The only spot you might run into some difference is going to be under the rear seats, but this wouldn't even really be seen.

It was a Ford accessory, I don't know if you can still get them or not. I've got one in my truck that I bought unused from a member here a few years back.

It appears they carry a molded one for the 4 door explorer.

It's available without any backing/padding/rubber.

Which would lead me to believe that it would go perfectly on top of the

factory rubber mat?
