xbox360 wireless help

HELP...I am having trouble getting my wireless adapter to be recognized by my xbox 360. I was on the phone last night with the router company, cable company, and microsoft and tried everything...it keeps saying that it is disconnected when it is clearly connected and has the red light on.



I understand this is typical, but noone seems to be able to help. I have tried three different brand new adapters and even took my 360 back and got a new one becasue they said it was the box. Still the adapter says disconnected.



Anyone face this same issue and get through it?

Replace your router. Buy a new one, if it does not work, take it back.



My little brother had this problem and the router was the problem.

Try changing the channel on the router. Disable any security on the router and see if it works.



There could be lots of things going on..

Did you bounce your router? Sometimes it clears thing up. Do you have more that one wireless device connected? Check the setting on your default page; you may have a limit on the number of connections. Last resort, Maybe reset of router to default settings and start over? Good Luck!

I did try to disable all security, but I haven't reset it to default yet. I don't have a lot connected to my wireless...in fact Xbox was the only thing connected when I was doing this. I'll try some of these other suggestions before I completely give up...thanks.
