I answered your other post...... Stuck in park is the common broken shifter rod....

IF its oem, it slides back too.... could be the switch, motor or something else.... did you try holding the switch the other way ?

Take off the door panela and remove the handle ?? My wife drives our Gen 2 now so yeah no measuring.

Sounds like a damaged wiring harness or blown fuse / Relay

Either the button is bad, the module mounted in the white box under the shifter is bad OR more common is people spill drinks, cleaners...

unfortunately need to scan the code with a good scanner but it sounds like a bad clock spring or ignition switch.
