Will the oem flip out cargo cage from an '05 ST fit the bed of an '08 ST? Thanx!

Chad I called Aussie about that.. They tell you [as do the instructions] to insert the oem shims back inside the case. The pin then doesn't clear to slide back in. No one knows why it won't! Jim

Thanx for the reply CG! I ordered/rec'd the Aussie Lockerlast week but it didn't fit:angry:because of the oem shims didn't allow for it to be pinned in when all installed.I called them and they couldn't explain it or help. I shpd it back for credit and just now bot a new traction lock gear...

Re: my 2005 ST 2:73, 31 spline, open diff .Can I simply remove the non tractionlok gearset and then install a traction lok gear set in an axle that is open? Is the axle/diff housing the same on both? Thanx!

Chad-How is it on the highway and in dry weather. Is it Noisy? Any negative issues? A guy on an Explorer forum waited 2 mos after ordering to get del.

I checked the Aussie locker website. Their# XD48831 for 1991-2005 Explorers fits a ST, I guess. Has anyone installed this on their ST? How is it on the highway? Aussie says it is far superior to traction lok. The price seems good $259. Anybody find it cheaper? I'll check ebay also. Jim

Monroe Reflexs on my '05 ST made it a diff vehicle! Bounce gone! And it now can corner hard and fast w/o feeling like it wants to tip over.:D

Good comment! I'm sure the orig warrenty would have covered it The extended warrenty covers beyond 3 yrs/36K miles up to 60K miles. So my original warrenty was gone when my TC $hit the bed @56K miles. My deductible on the extended is $100
