Are these hard to do yourself? Do you need special tools?

I just took my truck to the alignment shop and they said I had to have all of my ball joints replaced. The reason I took it in is because when i lift my truck up on jacks I can shake my tires back and forth.. The shop told me my bearings were good and my ball joints needed to be replace, but...

My trailblazer is stuck on heater, if I set the temperature on the climate control to cold (blue) it still blows hot air. Seems like the flaps inside are not moving to open and close. Is this controlled by a vacuum line or does anybody know how to troubleshoot this? Kirk :wacko:

Yea I just turned my rotors and my issue was fixed. My biggest issue is they said my rotors were to thin to have turned.. they had never been turned and after we measured them at checker's they had plenty of meet the whole project costed me 20 dollars. RIP OFFS!!!:angry:

Thought I would share this "rip off" story.... Took my trailblazer down to a shop to get the pads replaced and the rotors turned, because the rotors were warped because I was getting that stop go feeling on the brakes when coming to a stop when the rotors are warped or need turning. 99 bucks I...

Todd, I was out there a while ago, and listened real close when i am at a stop and give it a little gas I can hear it, not as loud as when I am going 60 but i can hear it.. Sounds like in the exhaust system somewhere. Kirk

When I put my trac in Park or Nuetral and I hit the gas, once it gets to 3000 RPM's it won't go any higher like it is not getting any more fuel. Is there a cut off or something or prevent this? when I am in drive or any gear like 1st I can get the RPMS as high as I want. Kirk

I got this same noise, but I get the tin can noise when I am driving... I did a walk around banged on the muffler, and I don't hear anything that sounds like that. I only hear it when driving.. Any ideas?

I got a 2002 trailblazer, I was wondering if the AC can effect engine temp. For example if my system was low on freon would that cause a high head pressure and make my engine run hotter? Kirk
