It really depends on when they were manufactured. Some of the earlier 2005's (like mine) will not handle mp3s. The later assembly line jobs do.

Clean the surface really well. Have you thought about just powder coating them ... it will hold up a little better.

There is a way to code a key if you only have one and need another. The Ford dealer doesn't like to tell you about it as it is a rather long process (over 1/2 hour). You should be able to find the process in the factory service manual.
