    2002 ST 4X4

Maybe it was my subconscience telling me not to sell it, but I thought I put it on there. I'm asking $4200.

    2002 ST 4X4

I'm selling my '02 ST with 194K miles. The truck is in excellent shape, and it is priced well below KBB. I just put a new set of front brakes and rotors on along with an alternator. The tires, back brakes, and battery are less than a year old. I am the original owner and I have maintained it...

    2002 Sport Trac 4X4

I am entertaining any reasonable offer on a 2002 Sport Trac 4X4. Recently I have replaced the shocks, front brake pads/rotors, and put on a set of Goodyear Duratrac tires. The only mod that has been done is a MAC intake. The interior is in excellent shape and I have added a Sirius radio. The...

    F/S 16" Factory Sport Trac Wheels 2002

I was about to order some new tires for the Trac and thought if there was interest in the factory wheels I would gladly part with them and order new ones. I just don't want them hanging around the garage. They are in good condition and they are off of my 1 owner, 2002, 4WD Sport Trac. I...

    Converting 2002 ST to synthetic

I converted my '02 to full synthetic several years ago. I changed everything except the front diff. I did not notice much, if any, mileage gain. LIke everyone has said, the mileage between oil changes is much better. I have 165K, and I have no issues to speak of. The cost of synthetic...

    Replacing CV

I replaced both front wheel bearing assemblies due to a roaring noise (the second one about 3 months after the first). The CV shafts usually make a clicking noise when turning and not when going straight (from my experience). It is something you can do yourself with a little patience and time...

    Rear axle popping

Thanks for the reply. Getting close to 140K, and I haven't had problems yet (knock knock) so I am starting to hear and see things that really aren't problems.

    Rear axle popping

My neighbor borrowed my truck, and while I was listening to him drive away I noticed a knocking or popping noise coming form the truck. After closer inspection I noticed a nut that has fallen off of the rear sway bark link (however, not the problem), but nothing else unusual. I can rock the...

CEL Code after plug and wire change

I replaced the #1 wire with the orginal wire and the same sympton persisted. I will switch the #1 and #2 plugs tonight before I replace the coil.

CEL Code after plug and wire change

It was running. I was trying to eliminate the plugs and wires as the cause. When I removed any of the other wires (one at a time) it really started to miss. When I removed the #1 wire the engine changed slightly, but definately not as dramatically as with the other wires removed. That's when...

CEL Code after plug and wire change

In my trouble shooting efforts, I was unplugging the wires at the coil pack to determine which cylinder was misfiring. When I inplugged cylinder #1 there was a small faint arc firing to the inside of the socket for the #1 cylinder on the coil pack.

CEL Code after plug and wire change

I stopped by my local shop this morning to have the code read, and he came back with P0301 and P0316. As several of you know this started after I changed my plugs and wires over the weekend. I have put a new coil pack on order just in case. I cleaned the sockets on the coil pack and the #1...

I'll check it again this afternoon, and clean everything. Thanks again!

New spark plugs and wires update

After I got home yesterday I checked the plugs for cracked insulators. I didn't find any problems there so I started removing the wires from the coil pack to see if I may have a bad wire. When I got to the #1 position, with the wire removed there was a spark that would creep up the inside of...

    New plugs and wires

I had a fun weekend replacing the plugs and wires on my Trac. I used the Taylor wires from Summit and Autolite Double Platinum plugs. To make a long story short, it has a miss now. I unplugged all the boots and re-seated them. Could I have a bad wire or plug? I used the dielectric grease...

    Steering wheel cover

How hard is it to replace the stock leather steering wheel cover? Mine has been damaged for a while, and I am just now getting around to replacing it. Has the quality of the leather gotten any better? I have an '02, and it didn't last but about a year before it started looking bad.
