Well....even though I found out what i did last night ,I still wanted to be sure because the trac is going on a long road trip in a week; so... I swapped the belt and BAM! no whine. I put the goodyear back on and am good to go. I can now sleep at night.;) and the trac too:D

The belt whine is normal for the gatorback belts. It is caused by the air in the grooves of the belt which allow the belt to run cooler and reduce slipping and squealing. I called their customer service # and spoke to a rep. I then googled it to confirm this too. Thanks for all the help;)

I have the monroe sensa trac on all 4 and it drives like my wifes volvo:wub: When i changed them even my wife noticed the much better ride. That says a lot for them. Trac drives on rails now. reflex is a tad stiffer ride than the sensa trac. either would be great. depends how you like your...

if a bearing was bad would it get louder as the rpm goes up or would it just be loud all the time? this sounds like a turbo and it sounds like it is coming from the front of the engine. Very hard to localise. thanks for the replys so far. i would like todd z's input if he catches this post.;)

white out looks waaayyy sportier......the black has that ultra rugged madmax look. most of the black out sport trac's i have seen look more like offroaders...i perfer the classy sporty look but i am a suburbanite who drives on a dirt road and says i went off road:P seems like the white outs...

be sure to ck the rubber elbow(emissions) under the intake under the hood. I went to 2 tranny shops who both said the shift solenoid was bad, it was someone here who told me to check the elbow and that was it. I know this sounds strange. My 02 would not shift , had it almost floored once and...
