I have 7000 miles on my 07 ST XLT v6. I consistently get 15.5 mpg in town and 19.6ish on the interstate. I've tested this with a heavy foot and a light foot, the results do not vary significantly. Is this on par with what you guys are getting?

What do you guys use to remove dead bugs on the front of your Sport Tracs? I've tried so many things, but I'm always affraid of removing wax, damaging the clearcoat, or not removing all the bug.

My 07 Sport Trac came with a license plate bracket attached to the front. It's attached with plastic rivets, or so it seems. Has anyone removed it? What's behind it? Will there be big ugly holes there if I remove it? Any advice is appreciated.
