    HELP!!!!

Mine was doing the same thing last year. It turned out that the trim/seal at the top had come apart and was not allowing the window to close all the way. Reseating is along with a little of trim adhesive (rubber cement) took care of the problem.

Who put DEXRON in my MERCON V???

Whoa boy I guess it's my turn with tranny problems. Q. I had my 03 (115k miles) tranny flushed at a local Jiffy Lube in mid December. My trans completely failed after about 200 miles. The invoice says serviced with DEXRON and no mention of MERCON V anywhere on their paperwork. Could...

    Aussie Locker in Front??

Looks like it's time to kill this thread as I have been convinced to not put anything into the front at all. I am leaning towards rebuilding and upgrading the stock lsd in the back. Look for a new project in the archives as soon as I get the kit. -S

    Aussie Locker in Front??

OK Todd, I'll bite. Rebuilding the OE LSD sounds appealing so long as I can get some sort of upgraded performance. Can the Cobra package or similar carbon clutch pack be purchased seperately? -S

    Aussie Locker in Front??

I'll keep that in mind :D While I appreciate ARB's reputation and quality. I am quite intrigued with Auburn's ECTED. It seems to be the best of both worlds as a solid locker when engaged and an LS when disengaged. Not to mention not needing an air compressor and such that adds to the cost as...

    Aussie Locker in Front??

Ack! Just got off the phone with Torqmasters.com and the bad news is the Aussie will not fit inside the stock 8.8 LSD carrier. So it looks like I'll not only have to deal with backlash setup but will need to find a non LSD carrier. Maybe I'll just go bite the bullet and have a manual locker...

    Aussie Locker in Front??

Ahh the CV joints were nagging at the back of my mind. My biggest concern with the locker in the rear is with the rear end wanting to swing out of the line when climbing slippery surface. (My driveway is steep and has 3 hairpin turns on the way up to the house) My ST did great getting up in...

    Aussie Locker in Front??

Is the Cobra something that can be done in the driveway (no need to set backlash and such)? if so how much are they and where can I find em? Based on what I've seen I really like the Auburn ECTED but that is out of my price range as well.

    Aussie Locker in Front??

Hey Guys, I've been contemplating putting a lunchbox locker in my rig and have a few questions and concerns. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Here are my major points. 1. It's an every day driver. 2. ARB's and OX's are out of my price range (married w/ kids) hehe 3. When...

    Canvas canopy for the ST

Yeah, a topper is what I'm after but a canvas tonneau might be in my future as well and I'll keep an eye out for your project posting. My OE Tonneau is showing it's age with cracks and such underneath. somehow it didn't like the 100 or so lbs of ice and snow this year hehe

    '03 Rear Brakes Questions

Hiya Cooter, It's good practice to make sure whenever replacing one of the friction surfaces (pads or rotors) that the other surface be fresh as well ie: new or resurfaced pads mated with new or resurfaced rotor. Generally if my old pads are in good shape (50% or so) I'll usually take...

    Canvas canopy for the ST

Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone has come across any alternative toppers beside the ARE and snug. I did find this interesting article from Truckin http://www.truckinweb.com/features/0110suv_sport/index.html which featured their Tsunami project with a canvass topper made by Can-Back...
