I know we've all seen tons of photos and write ups on the '07 Trac, including the little video on the Ford website. And all the teaser photos of the Adrenalin concept have been posted and passed around...but I saw the new Trac on the SVT site and although we've heard all the specs for so long I like the little "Flash Player" shpeel to go with the familiar pics and specs. I wish they had a release date...Anyhooo...check the link below.

Has anyone forecasted an estimated cost for the SVT ST? As much as I'd love to buy one I couldn't imagine a very good mileage rating with a SC 4.6L V8 that churns out 390/390 hp/torque in an AWD configuration! :D Gas up here in Calgary,AB is the cheapest at the moment at 83 cents/liter or for you americans thats 3.15 per gallon. And it only recently came down from 1.17 per liter!

For the extra dough I think i'd rather put the EE Super Charger in my ST.... don't think it would keep up to the new SVT ST but i think it would be a lot cheaper! :)

I bet the gas wouldn't be as expensive as you think. My gas mileage isn't more than 1-2mpg worse than it was before the supercharger. If you drove in mountainous or hilly areas, I suspect that you could get much BETTER gas mileage as long as you kept your foot off the floor. All the added torque at and around the 2000-4000 rpm range allow you to climb hills without having to shift down and run your engine at higher RPMs.

Unless Ford manages to pack an additional 2000 pounds of weight on the SVT Adrenaline, there's NO WAY IN THE WORLD a EE supercharged trac could keep up with it. You're talking about a 100-125 horsepower surplus on the SVT, and the all wheel drive will allow it to hook up a heck of a lot better than the EE supercharged models. However, the EE model IS cheaper. ;)

definitely the SVT would kill an EE charged ST, but I really like the "cheaper" option in going with the EE supercharger. heh!

Cheaper is NOT easier, take it from someone who knows. I would be very willing to buy the SVT model, but I would not be willing to put another EE kit on my truck. It's just too many little things that add up to potential big problems. A factory warranty would be mighty nice at this point. However, it IS cheaper!!
