Following Todd Z's design and specs, I built his cold air intake system for my 2007 V8. I bought the brushed aluminum tube, the connectors, the vacuum hoses, etc. for a total of about $60. So far it seems to work great and altho' it is too early to tell for certain, the dashboard mpg readings are improved. Here is Todd's part list:

12" 3.5" Chrome Pipe

3.5" 90degree rubber elbow

3.5" Silicone straight Sleeve

3.5" Worm Gear Hose Clamps (Qty4)

5/16" Rubber grommet

5/16" Tee for Air Hose

12" 5/16" vacuum Hose

22" 5/16" vacuum Hose

I have enough aluminum tube left for another system if anyone else wants to build their own too. I will ship it to you for a total of $25. The rest of the parts list is up to you.

I'm trying to price this all out before i decide to pull the trigger. . . where can I buy the 3.5" elbow & sleve?

I've tried Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace, Autozone, etc . . . .

Looks like online is my best bet

Thanks for your help on this guys!

I ended up finding the 5/16 material and clamps all at O'Reilly.

(My local Lowes, Home Depots & Ace hardware stores don't sell any 5/16 at all.)

I got the sleeve and elbow at intakehoses.com and I found the aluminum tube at a local steel center for $6.

Installed it all last night and I definitely noticed an immediate difference.

I've already got a KKM MAF and a cone in the box, so replacing the tube was just the mod I needed to compliment and complete my intake.

The whole process, beginning to end, literally took about 7-10 minutes and cost me right around $60.

Again, I can't thank you enough!

Sorry, let me clarify, this portion of the intake came in right around $60. . . .

$120 - New box top with KKM and cone filter (Zabteck)

$6 - Chrome pipe (Local)

$15 - Rubber elbow (Intakehoses.com)

$9 - Sleeve (Intakehoses.com)

$10 - Shipping (Intakehoses.com)

$5 - Tee (O'Reilly)

$4 - Grommet (O'Reilly)

$7 - Vacuum hoses (O'Reilly)

$6 - Clamps (Lowe's)

$182 - Total

Taken in order of airflow, here are some rough pics taken with my phone . . . .

All wrapped up with a Zabteck modified throttle body and an Xcal3 with tunes from Torrie.

. . . . this should complete my intake (that is unless I find a plastic tube to replace the aluminum one).
