'07 Owners - FYI

As I was getting ready to pull in the gas station, my low fuel level came on.



I filled the tank as full as I could get it. 20 gallons.



So, on my truck I have 2.5 gallons left the low level warning.

When mine came on, the information readout said I had 50 miles left to empty. That would be 3 gallons at the the average milage it was displaying.

ww- I have found that the gallons used is constantly low compared to the amount that I put in the tank; thus, the MPG is reading high.

This reminds me of what I did recently in my 04. The 'Low Fuel' indicator came on while I was on the freeway but I decided I could make it to my destination. I drove a scary 35 miles before I reached my preferred gas station. On that tank I put in 21.958 gallons. Given that my Trac averages 16.5 mpg I maybe had another 10 miles before the engine started to sputter but I'm never gonna push the envelope like that again.

I just filled the first tank full in my 07 today approximately 2 miles after the light came on and I was able to put in 18.672 gallons. For the first tank average it came to 15.03 miles to the gallon.

Just to clarify, are you guys filling all the way up or are you stopping when the pump automatically cuts off?

Which is actually considered full?

About the same for me. It must come on with about 2-3 gallons left.

My first full tank was 15.7 mpg. I had exactly 300 miles on that tank.
