07 roof rack

How do I romove the roof rack on my 07 ST? Do I have to go through the headliner? Also has anyone seen some valance body peices to cover the uglyness left when one removes the step bars? Thanks for your considered opinon and assistance. Chuck

Easy--just pop off the plastic covers and remove 2 screws each i beleive it is a T-25
