I need to get step bars for my lifted ST. I don't like the cheapy aftermarket ones on eBay but I found these on the local CL. I need to know if they'll work on our Trac's so I can get them. The brackets look damn close to ours.

Might take some fabrication customizing brackets but anything is possible. I agree with not going cheap aftermarket for sure! And yes they do look really close.

I plan on making rock sliders/ steps like Chad did and a rear swing out tire carrier with a steel rear bumper. I was hoping to build these things before winter but it doesn't look like it'll happen until early spring unless a miracle happens and I get an open spot in my Truck clubs garage.

Jerry,

our brakets bolt flat to back of the rocker panels.. Those look like they hook over the frame. Or hook over something.

I snapped some pictures of ours just for reference.

I'm about to put mine back on. Just gotta sand and paint first.

Oh, and underneath those is my truck box I've had for a few months but have still yet to use.

I'm thinking they'll work because the mounting brackets are 90 degree just like ours. I'll probably have to drill new holes in the rockers for these. I think I'm gonna go over sometime Monday or Tuesday when it's sunny and not snowing out (yes I said snow). Atleast Pittsburgh isn't getting snow like Halloween blizzard of '93.

Ok, so I went out and test fit them upto the truck and the length was good, the bolt holes were off by a couple inches but the rear of the step tucked under the cladding of my ST. I'm just gonna keep looking. Carol can climb up in the truck now but we have trouble getting her Grandmother and Aunt in the truck so I'm still looking.
