2005 sport trac engine compatible?

I have a 2005 sport trac flex fuel and the motor is goin out in it. I got a buddy with a 2002 explorer sport thats a 5 speed. Will this motor go in my sport trac and what will i have to do to make it work? Thanks!

I would think so. But the flex fuel might make a difference in the engines.

Most 4.0 lowers will work, rangers ,explorers etc. as far as a complete swap then you need to have a 04 or 05 from trac for easy swap, or wiring, intake etc are different on explorers. looked into this a few years back and found out after buying a explorer, that was the same year, that it was not a simple swap.

Yes, MUST swap all the exterior accessories and complete intake.
