THANKS !!!!!!

FELLOW MEMBERS,

I am pleased to announce that after talking with Bryan at ford for the past several months we have come up with some places and dates that may interest everyone in a 2006 NATIONAL SPORT TRAC MEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rich Stern was kind enough to have placed a survey in the survey section of the site ( linked below). I ask ALL members to please complete the survey. The more accurate answers and the higher participation we get will strongly weigh the next meet location and date.

This is important because with out a high turn out this year, Ford will not be willing to host any more meets!!!!..

SO please answer truthfully and as accurately as possible.

Feel free to contact me ( [email protected] ) with any questions. Although plans are still sketchy, I will try to answer all your questions.

Thank you all !!!!!!

Chicago seems to be missing, as the middle of the US and an easy place to meet:D

not to mention pizza and beefs

To all, what cental location does everyone want? Like always, everyone wants it in their backyard so it doesn't take much effort to attend. No matter where the meet is held, this will always be the problem. As much bitching as there always is, Dallas should have been a great location and was relatively centralized in the perspective of the US. Not perfect but pretty damn good and the turn-out was pitiful. There were more folks attending from outside of TX than local members. Even members that said they would be there chose not to show. Yeah, life can get complicated but this something you plan for and make an effort to attend. I don't think cental location is the problem, just an easy cop out.

In my opinion Tom, yes. I know your a stickler for not using words like "many" or "most" so this is my opinion based on the "central location" argument that comes up whenever the national meet is being discussed.

Last years meet was in a "centrally" located place. We had a major turn-out. Yup, central locations work.

Nah TJR, but certain things stand out and if you spend time reading on the site, you get to know it's members even if you've never met them.

I disagree with the "in my backyard" desire. We have an annual Corvette show in my town and all it does is choke the roads with vettes. If we had a Sport Trac meet, then they would be driving through my back yard.:D

Larry As stated above...

This is important because with out a high turn out this year, Ford will not be willing to host any more meets!!!!..

Heather, Atlanta was a suggestion based on the number of st's sold in GA. IT is the highest sale state if st's, and GA carries a high registered number of members on this site.

And I believe that this will be the LAST meet if there is not a good showing, OR Ford may cancel this one before we get it off the ground !!!!!

That is something I did not know. I guess it does make sence why there are so many members from GA.

Todd Z--

Sorry, I can't complete the survey--there are no selection options from my input. Which is that because we will have a newborn at that time, I won't be there, regardless of which weekend or location it is.

Might it be worthwhile to modify the survey, to include this option? Find out not only when and where people want it, but even IF people want it? Yes, I realize that this might just result in people saying they're interested now, but not showing when it all comes down to it. But getting date/location info from people who won't be there anyway seems like it wouldn't accomplish much.

Just a thought....
