As title asks ??

Any one with a 9mm use these for target ???

The cost savings is there if you shoot a lot, But is it "Relay" worth it ???

my .22 rifles are quiet and have no recoil or feel while shooting, I wounder if the Rim Fire kit has the same sloppy feel ???

Thoughts ??

Todd, what do you mean, " the same sloppy feel? I have a Colt .22 conv. kit for the .45 acp. I was thinking about selling it because it has somewhat of a high value, but I have a hard time parting with gun stuff.

Like gary, I have used them in .45s,the recoil is about the same, has to be to actuate the gun.

savings,? you can buy an awful lot of 9mm ammo for close to 400 bux.

the difference in feel, sound, performance..........

the conversion kits are under $300.00 new.... both for the sig and the colt....

$500/$700 is just for OEM ace conversion kits, the orig colt ace pistols from the 30s and 40s, mint bring $2500/$5000.

I did a quick search not specific.....

Any way back to the question...

Do you think it is worth it ???

Todd Z

Todd ,it depends how much you shoot . I used to run about 3000 rounds a month when I was competing and I found it was worth it. Now I only go through about 500 a month and I pretty much shoot all centerfire.Of course I reload if I was buying commercial loads it would still get pretty expensive.

I do not do a lot of shooting, maybe 1 time a week to the range for 200 rounds....

I don't do any competition.....

Ok, Thanks..

I probably will NOT get the .22 kit....

Time to move on..

Thanks

you could buy a reloader. With my progressive reloader I can turn out 300 rounds an hour for 11 cents a piece for my wifes 9mm and 15 cents a piece for my .40 cal. So it costs me roughly half of what factory loads cost and I get to play with the loads.

Todd,

If you visit Ohio, I am sure I can find you a perfectly legal .22 pistol that shoots .22 LR pistol.

Tom,

Thanks,....

I can get one here, ( in my county once you have the permit you can get any gun and no extra cost) But I was just trying to see if people used them for shooting.... I don't care about the use on my Sig, was just seeing if the cost was worth it...

For what shooting I do, it is not...

Todd,

If you get a gun that is cheap and enjoyable to shoot, you will find yourself going to the range more often. I go very often.
