Can someone post a picture of the underneath of there trac. While having my muffler installed I saw the motor that ingages the 4 wheel drive. This motor was exposed on the underside of the vehicle, it looked like it had threads for a cover to go over it. Is there suppose to be a cover over it? Looks like the way it is it could be damage pretty easy.

Hyjack, I dont have a pic, but i know thats how the 4wd engagement motor is supposed to be... I also noticed that the wiring harness that plugs into it is completely exposed...Not a good idea, but hasnt caused a problem for me yet, knock on wood...

Nope, Thats the way it is....

those holes are for a harmonic balancer to be bolted on. Apparently it is not needed on the ST. ALSO if ford uses this transfer case for the all wheel drive trucks IT may have a balancer on them.
