First off I don't know if this is normal for Gen 1 ST's or not but at idle my A/C is quite a bit warmer than when I am pushing about 2000 rpm's. Could be nothing but I know in some newer cars that is the case but didn't know if an 02 was the same.

Second when A/C is on max and dial on 3 or 4 I get alot of air out of the defrost and floor vents. I've seen something a post about this once I think but couldn't find it again if anybody knows anything about these 2 probs please let me know.

If your getting alot of air out of the defrost, floor and also the dash vents as well then chances are that the door seals are as good as they once used to be and are allowing alot of air to bypass.

It is not uncommon for any vehicles ac to be a bit warmer at idle that at higher prms but if there is a big difference then you may want to get te system checked out. First thing I would do is get the system properly evaced and recharged, if that doesn't work then get the cooling fan clutch checked, alot of times they won't lock up properly at idle and cause the ac to get warmer then.

I don't get a lot of air out of the floor vents when it is set on the dash vents, but enough to freeze my right ankle and my wife's left toes in the summer. One of those problems that is easily fixed with duct tape.
