A little help here...

a while back there was a thread about disabling that seatbelt warning/reminder.



well, i went to the manual followed the steps and nothing... it didn't disengage...

so... anyone got any idea?



the steps i followed...



while parked...

engage emerg. brake

turn car on but not engine.

wait for seatbelt on dash to go out (exactly 1min.)

withon 50sec.

click seatbelt on and off 3 times...

turn headlights on and off

click seat belt on and off 3 times



wait for airbag display to come on (10sec)

click seatbelt on and off



and thats should be it...



is this right? i didn't get th eairbag display to come on so i maybe missing something here..



help!!!

I don't think it is within 50 seconds, I believe it is like 5 or 10 seconds... I know it had to be real fast, or it did not work..

Todd is right, I know for me to get it to work I had to do it pretty quick and no where near 50 sec.

Just disabled the seatbelt warning on my '04. Worked first time by following these steps:



Parking brake is set

Gearshift is in P

Safety belt is unbuckled

Ignition switch is in Run position (Do not start the engine)

Wait for the safety belt warning to turn off ( 1minute)

Buckle then unbuckle the safety belt 9 times ending with unbuckled within 50 seconds

Airbag light will turn on for 3 seconds

Within 10 seconds, buckle the unbuckle safety belt once

As confirmation the airbag light will flash for 3 seconds

You're done!
