It looks like it made it through fine. That ST is working as part of the cleanup effort by removing that tree from the premises.
 
Anyone notice that the tailgate completely poped off? Geez. That really sucks.
 
Jenn, hopefully the gate was open before the tree found it's way to the bed.



If so, I could see it coming off easily. You only have to raise it a small amount then pull out.



At least I hope it was open...

I bet the down force from the impact jarred the tailgate upwards which slid it off the hingepoints. The latches only hold it in place from forward movement (i.e. opening).
 
Oh man thats terrible! i hate to see a trac in trouble.:( But that thing does look amazing! lol it looks bagged!, but still a trajedy...

Ouch. Reminds me of the flooding we had here (Pittsburgh) last year catching the end of Hurricane Ivan. Saw a pic of a Lamborghini Countach in monochrome mud.
