Just count heads and move on....They should ask one other question...Are you a legal US citizen. and then we should charge Mexico $10,000 per illegal per year to vacation in our country...:supercool:

Caymen, there you go, there's further corroboration that the Census tools DID ask members of my family questions on income. Denouncing me with your libelous skepticism, hah. The truth is now out.

Funny how you think that the Census only asks for a head count and moves on.

KL,

Propaganda.

I will trust me wife, a Census worker, over some goon on the internet.

It is like talking to a Protestant about being a Catholic.

This is taken from the census2010.gov website.

10 questions this time around. The smallest in history.

Last year, 2009, every address was verified using a GPS device. No questions were asked since the Census is not until 2010. Census employees, including my wife, were barred from asking anything at all. There were MANY people wanting to tell the address canvassers personal information, but the workers were to tell those people that this is not information that they need.

Of course, this is coming DIRECTLY from an employee from the Census and not some youtube video.

Tom

Of course, this is coming directly from me, who observed the multiple census interviews, not someone who is relying on ENTIRELY 3rd hand information and the fallacious proof of "Because my wife, a low level census worker doesn't do it, it MUST not happen".

So you consider your flawed proof and information from the Census bureau's web site enough to call someone a liar? Do you believe that people are guilty until proven innocent as well?

If I ever end up in court, I want you in my jury so I can call a mistrial by default on jury nullification.

It's just easier to answer the questions than to get a dozen or so visits from Census workers of various ranks and titles. They're going to get what they're looking for one way or the other, whether it be through relatives, friends, the post office, or local government offices.

I would expect Protestants to know quite a bit about Catholics, since their's is a "spin-off" religious sect from Catholicism.

The whole Protestant Reformation came about because of those that thought the Catholics had it "all wrong."

So, probably not the best analogy.

You originally said your family told you, now "you were there" and seen it first hand?

Which is it?

I know for a fact that the Census DOES NOT START until this year. The operations of last years was confirming addresses.

Was this the 2000 Census?

According to the Census website, this Census is the shortest and least prying EVER!

I think what we are seeing here is not the Census itself, but Obama in the office, therefore no matter what it is, it is going to be bad. If it were McCain in the office and they asked for a DNA sample, the majority here would be willing to give it.

The government already know how much money we make. The government already almost knows how many people live in our homes. The government already knows everything about us.

If it were McCain in the office, this would not be an issue.

Tom

Caymen, you're a tool. Seriously, I really thought that you were in the right on some things, and just misguided on others, but this is ridiculous. You sir, have completely fallen off the deep end.

McCain? Why are you bringing this into the debate? As I have said here before, I did not even vote for McCain. (Though I did not vote for BHO either)

Are you realizing that calling someone a liar with no evidence is so ridiculous that you're grasping at straws to save face?

"You originally said your family told you, now "you were there" and seen it first hand?"

Your poor grammar aside, you're thinking you have successfully denounced me because I'm elaborating on the account? Well Sir, my parents' household was selected by the Census Bureau for a detailed study on income, and they were asked questions as described in this video. I happened to stop by the house once or twice while the Census agent was there. If this was social engineering to scam my family, then all the work to create the guise of being a Census agent was a bust because my parents aren't rich at all!

Though you no longer claim that I was scammed or "telling a tale", now you just claim that I am a liar. This is ridiculous.

Before I start to reciprocate cheap shots to character, I'll bring this to a close. Please come up with something besides left wing propaganda and completely irrelevant evidence before you drag yourself back to the argument.

KL,

With all due respect, please no name calling. I never called you any names, please return the favor.

The reason I brought up McCain is simply because fear mongers like Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck.

This is not "Left Wing Propaganda". I do not like Obama, but I do not sleep in fear because we think he is going to destroy this country. Is the country going in the wrong direction? No different than it has been since Bush took office in 2001.

Would there be this much of a stink if a someone other than Obama was in office? I highly doubt it!

Please do not call me names.

Tom

What does this thread have to do with who is in office?

Partisan hacks are tools! Not calling anyone a name...just tossing out a shoe. Try it on...if it fits, well, ...

It is all about the current "mentality" of the masses with whom is in office. if it were Bush or Clinton, we would not be this worried. We got some goon online talking about this over intrusive Census this year while the Census says this is the least intrusive ever in the history of the Census.

If it were McCain in office, this would not be an issue. Only because it is Obama, the sky is falling.

Tom

Caymen,

There are always goons, and there are always nutjobs. I'm not buying that having BHO in office is causing this.

It simply doesn't make sense. Bush Jr did more to invade people's privacy than any 10 presidents before him and with not much outcry. Now people are freaking about Census takers because of BHO in office? I don't think so.

Some people just need a cause, regardless what, regardless when, and regardless who is in office.

I know, point is, we did not have the outrage about any decisions coming out of the WH than we have today.

If Obama farts wrong, Glen Beck is all over it.

Tom

It's probably just the fact many people are tired of any type of government intervention into their personal lives. The last census was 10 years ago, people forget.

Caymen, so you can call me a "name" without evidence, but I cannot call you a "name", even though you've provided blatant evidence? What is that?

This video clearly states that the Census has been gathering information on income every year, which supports my statement.

Caymen, if even I had irrefutable proof you still would not even consider retracting your hastily made statement. Your flagrant tangent to rant against McCain and "fear mongers" like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh is evidence to this--instead of arguing the point, or even trying to debase the video that started this thread, you had to go back to blaming the right wingers for everything.

Again, please return to the debate when you have this thing called evidence, and an argument to present it. Canned arguments about right-wing "fear mongers" do not count. I think I'm expecting too much, as you did not even have proper evidence to call me a liar in the first place.

Totally disappointed in you, the bastion of faith for Ford on the board. :boohoo: :toilet:
