Adrenaline speakers

The STA came with tweeters up near the defrosters/side mirrors, right? Are these removable/replaceable? I'm looking to add tweeters to my 03 XLT and would like the clean factory look (similar to those black tweeters mounted in the same spot in my prius).

Don't mean to steal your thunder, but speaking of well speakers, can anyone tell me where all my speakers are located on my 03 ST? I have the Pioneer system with the factory sub woofer. I was told there are 7? :wacko:

There is a 6x8speaker in each door and if you have a factory sub it's behind the rear seat on the driverside. As far as the question about replacing the factory tweeters in the upper section of the doors, you can buy a component set or just an aftermarket set from most electronics store like Best Buy or you can go to Crutchfield.com. Look in the projects section and there's a couple different speaker upgrade projects in there.

I'm assuming you're talking about a gen1 STA with these tweeters. I have an 05 STA, and there are no tweeters up there (to my knowledge). They basically install them right over the woofers in your doors (At least that's what it appears to me when I look through the grills covering the woofers in the door). I haven't ripped the door panels off to check, but I don't think they are where you originally thought. The STA speakers might actually be a one piece system from Pioneer (sort of like a 3-way, but a 2-way and then Ford claims it as and 8 speaker system plus the sub under the seat). Maybe somebody else can elaborate, but that's my input
