About two months ago I had an accident where both my airbags deployed. I now have a new "used" passenger airbag. I plan on getting a new "used" steering wheel w/ airbag.

My airbag light on my dash is on. Will it turn off once I install both airbags or am I gonna have to replace the airbag control module?

Should I go ahead and install the passenger airbag then do the steering wheel ann I buy it or should I wait to do both at the same time?

Dealer can't reset an SRS system. If the bags are deployed you will need a crash module also, under the console. Once both bags and the module have been replaced it will operate properly with no light. You can install the bags and not hook them up until you get the module. Someone here had a module for sale a while back.

You do need to observe some safety procedures before you go live after installing all 3 pieces. I'll send you the procedure if you like.

You will need both airbags, the control module, the seat belt pretensioners (if they went off), which ever crash sensor triggered the airbag deployment and all the seat belts that were in use during the crash need to be closely inspected for damage and or replaced...I don't mess around here I just replace them.

No seatbelts were used during the crash. I have already contacted Val, who is selling the airbag control module. I just needed someone to chime in and assure me that I needed this module.

Steve, that would be much appreciated if you could. I'd like to perform this installation myself, if not I will take it to a fellow friends (who just happens to own a sport trac as well) collision/body shop.

Will do. Fortunately, I guess, you don't have seat belt pretensioners in an 01. Now, WHY were there no seat belts used during the crash Arturo ??????? Buckle up, man ! ! !:banghead: As many wrecks as I've fixed I have never had to replace a non-damaged sensor ........ yet. If it's bad you'll get a code.
