probably could if you were willing to run the the antenna cable up to the roof line and drill an hole in the roof itself, why not just shorten the oem or find a shorter antenna to suit your tastes. The sharkfin still needs a connection so you would have to drill a hole in the roof to make it functional.

Another way is to get an amplified Electronic Ant, 30 bux (google, custom autosound)

make a delete plate for the OEM ant.

Mount the electronic ant in the trac, thats what I did on the stang, works perfect.

Won't AM reception suffer with a shorter antenna? Then again, this may not be a concern, if you don't listen to AM.

Bill B,

How is AM reception the electronic antenna?

Wonder if they make an antenna delete/short replacement unit. I really don't like the stock one on my STA. It would be cool to toss on a small stubby black Antenna.

I might get that eletronic one, I like the looks of the Shark fin. And also notto concerned about AM reception. havent listened to AM sense Ive been listining to raido. Thanks for the ideas..

With my mount FM is perfect, AM is not so good

Mount it on the windshield, a.m is perfect, you cannot see the unit, you have one hot wire, one that go's to the radio.

you could try taking the mast itself out of the holder and cut the bottom end off to desired height and re-install, don't cut the top end off with the ball or whatever, antenna is junk if you do that.
