Talk about an unbelievable coincidence! As the one anchor starts singing near the end of the story, "It's a small world after all..."

My Mom and Dad first met in Vienna, Austria in 1965. In 1967, both happened to be on vacation in Nuremberg, Germany a year or two later. They ran into each other on the street. Mind you, my Mom lived in Germany and my Dad lived in the USA.

Dad ended up visiting Europe again in 1968 and 1969. In 1970, Dad invited Mom to visit him in the USA. Dad lived with his parents at the time. (Had a nasty divorce and has a daughter that is severly retarted) Mom came to visit. For some odd reason, Dad asked Mom to marry him. She said yes. They were married 3 weeks later. I was born in 1973 and my little sister was born in 1976.

Here is where it gets freaky. Back when Mom originally went to Vienna, she was riding on the Orient Express and was in the same bunk car as some Gypsies. One of them read my Mom's palm while Mom was sleeping and told her when she saw.

"On this trip you are going to meet the man of your dreams. You will not know it for many years. You will move far away from home. You will have two children, but will stop at two because the second one will almost kill you."

Mom met Dad in Vienna in 1965. In 1970 they got married. She moved from Germany to the USA. She did have two children and with my sister, my Mom suffered from blood clots in her legs and we almost lost her.

It is a small world.

My wife and I were both vacationing in Florida just before we started dating. We never saw each other down there as far as I know. But they were staying in the KOA Kampground just down the block from the time share we were staying in.

My mom and dad grew up 2 houses away from each other, went to school together, got married had 4 boys and live 6 houses away from their homes. Celebrated their 62 anniversary last week.

TJR, that actually happened to a friend's cousin. His cousin was engaged to a girl that he had been dating for 3 years. They called off the engagement when they both got invites to the same family reunion.

I wonder if this happens more and more frequently with more adoptions nowadays and also with multiple parents having kids with more than 1 other person. I'm willing to bet two people found out they were actually brother and sister without knowing it.

My Dad was the stable hand and Mom's family owned the farm. They met one night at Freddie's Pizzaria on Broadway in Long Branch, Dad asked her to share a pizza(italian sausage and green peppers) and the rest is history. They continued to go to Freddie's every Friday night for a pie and salad until Dad passed 4 years ago. Kinda romantic! BC

The first time I met my husband, I was 13, he was 18. It was love at first site for me, for him, I was just another pesky little kid that he had no use for. He was my sister's boyfriend's (now her husband) roommate. My crush lasted for years. We lived in a small town and I saw him often and everytime I did, my heart would skip a beat. In 1985 I went out with my sister her husband and my long time crush. We went to a bar to play pool and have a few beers. One thing lead to another and this year we will celebrate our 24th anniversary. This just proves to me, that if you are patient enough, eventually you will get exactly what you want. At least I did.
