So I have developed a suspension squeak.

I have sprayed all of the bushings that I know of down with silicone lube, and tend to keep the underside well lubed anyways, but this won't go away!

It is coming from the right side, and it squeaks whenever I turn the wheel or when I hit a bump. Anyone hear of balljoints squeaking like this? Control arm bushings?

Are there any lube points I could have missed?? I am not aware of any grease zerks on the suspension...are there any ?

It almost sounds to me like it is coming from the lower control arm.........

Any ideas? The ball joints feel tight...and I don't see any Zerks on them. Any way to get some grease into them?

There are no factory lube fittings on the St...

The noise you are hearing is more than likely as you said, the ball joints or control arm bushings...

They make a needle fitting for the Ball joints that pierces the boot and fills it with grease...

Mine made a squeak on bumps or my driveway shortly after I bought it. Took it to the dealer, they said it was loose control arms.

Like Fast Eddie said, lube the steering stops. I just had to do mine a week ago. I only have 8,000 miles on my 05' and mine started to squeek every time I turned my wheel to back up...drove me nuts! I took it to the dealer and they lubed it up, and now she's fine. :) They said it happens every 10,000-15,000 miles or so, but if you live on a dirt road, it will happen more often (which my boyfriend does...great!)

hey...I live on a dirt road....

OK, so check out steering stops, and get a needle fitting to lube ball joints, and check my control arma to make sure it isn't going to fall off..............anything else?

Allllllllllriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighty then..............................

I cut a small gash (1/8 inch long)in the boot of my lower balljoint boot on the right side............water dripped out (?!?!??!?) I sprayed some lithium grease up there and the squeak is almost gone. Probably after a few miles, it will be gone for good.

But I should probably replace that balljoint sooner or later......

Thanks for the help and ideas:cool:
