Big D,
If she knows the userID and password, you can connect directly to the wireless access point with a patch cable and access it through a web browser. She may not have reset the default user and password, in which case, those will be available in the user's manual, which are available at the manufacturer's website if you can't find the hard copy. If the userID/password were reset from the defaults, and she can't remember them, the only way you'll access it then is to perform a hard reset using the reset button on the WAP (usually on the back or the bottom), but you'll still need to know the default UserID, password, and IP address.
BTW, resetting the key to something easy to remember is not usually recommended. Hackers can execute brute force "dictionary" attacks that will uncover easily remembered passwords in a few seconds, even in the newer protocols. I usually recommend writing the UserID/password/passphrase or key in the owner's manual (if you're organized about keeping those things), on a label you attach to the WAP, or as a text file on your computer.
