Well with my new job comes a new phone and today (should be here early next week) i chose the 7130e, I got to choose between the traditional blackberry and the 7130e, the 7100 series is more phone oriented but still has all the features the 7250 has (my other choice). Plus i text message like crazy so getting used to emailing etc on the qwerty board instead of the tiny full keyboard will be fine with me.

basically i was wondering if anyone else had a 7100 series blackberry and their opinion on it. including any tips or anything you might have for me.

IN the US, there is a patent infringement lawsuit with threatens to shut down the entire US blackberry network. The shutdown could occur at any time, or may be averted by a settlement between the two parties. The makers of Blackberry has already lost the suit, but there is a temporary injunction submitted by the US government which is preventing the service from being disrupted. This was done because nearly all high-level government official carries one of these devices to stay connected to their work e-mail. The blackberry device helps them respond to national emergencies.

Does your company use a Blackberry Enterprise Server? I just set up one of those yesterday. I've setup Blackberrys with and without - and with the BES it makes the thing extremely indispensible (syncs email, contacts, calendar, etc remotely without intervention). I have another client for whom I setup a Blackberry and it pops his email.

Anyhow - I've played with two 7100 series Blackberrys, and the keyboard is a bit to get used to but becomes very easy to use. No tips really..

I love my crack-berry 7250 ! My wife hates it ! I have one for work, and although it is nice to have I do find myself checking email and responded to SMS messages all the time. It becomes a habit, hence, the crack-berry line. It took me a few weeks to get use to typing messages, but now it is like second nature.
