Anyone discover Google SketchUp Yet?

Is it not the coolest 3D toy? I cant quit playing with it. Just downloaded the free version but Ive got the boss thinking about purchasing the Pro5 version. Thoughts? Likes, Dislikes about it?? Marsha

I use Sketchup all the time. I do the 3D renderings for the architecture firm I work for, and I use sketchup to do most of my modeling and renderings, until we need a highly detailed view. It's the easiest 3d program I have run acorss that give you great results. I have some pics that I would post if I only knew how to do it!! :blink:

I use it sometimes to draw up speaker boxes.



I don't have any others around but that was way back when I first trying to figure out how to fit 2 10's in the ST



Also, my Sketchup skills are lacking

Christopher, If you want to post a pic in you message or reply, all you have to do is either click on the tool box, on the right side below, that says "select a pic from your library" in the tool tip Or put a "Link (enter a URL if you want to include a link in your post)" in the space provided below.

So far I have been using it to design a house I plan to build soon, but the boss has been peaking over my shoulder and thinks we may be able to put it to good use at work. I only wish I could get it to work on my computer at home. It only works with XP and my computer is old. Just curious what other thought of it. Marsha
