Anyone replace the shocks / struts on their Gen two ST

Not sure whats on a Gen 2 ST but has anyone replace the shocks / struts on their ST? What did you buy and results?

I did the ones on my 02. I did the fronts and paid $50 for someone to do the rears. Not a tough job.

The Gen 2 appears to have three aftermarket strut options.

KYB GR-2, Monroe Reflex, or the similar Rancho RS5000.

Someone on here did Coilovers - I had Big Piston Bilstiens made but that is not a budget item for a general maint item -

So....are they traditional type shocks or struts mounted inside a coil?

Strut mounts inside a coil....Essentially you'll have to remove the coils.
