I am replacing the OEM 6-CD Pioneer head unit with an Alpine CDA-9886 head unit. I planned to purhase the wiring harness that is recommended on the Crutchfield website (see link below). The thing is, I am not completely sure that this is the correct wire harness for my vehicle. Visually, the two wiring harness connectors do not seem to match.

The Crutchfield wire harness contains two connectors, while the wire harness connecting to the Pioneer unit in my 2002 ST has three connectors. Further, the Crutchfield site does not indicate how many pins are on each of the two Crutchfield connectors. The three OEM Pioneer harness connectors, as shown below, have 8, 16, and 20 pins.

I am confused. Can anyone help me and advise me on which harness adapter I need to get?

That would be sub out and the main speakers out. The unused plug will be for the rear audio controls.
