Audiophile headunit...shipping mode

I have a 04 Audiophile indash-6 headunit I'm removing today and need to put into "shipping mode". Aside from installing the shipping bracket, isn't there a button-pressing process?

I received the following information from Daeron on 10/26/2006



Before removing the radio from vechicle



1. turn of radio

2. Remove and CD's from the unit

3. Keep radio on and depress and Hold the SCAN & 1 station preset buttons together. Keep buttonsdepressed untill radio displays "Please Wait" for 2 seconds Release the buttons

4. the radio will display " In the ship Mode" for 3 seconds. At this point radio may now be removed from vechicle

5. Obtain a shipping bracket to install in the radio.

6. Install the Shipping bracket.



When the Radio repair center guy removed the radio, he did none of the above except remove CD's



Flipped the radio up side down, removed the front key pad and bezel, replaced key pad and bezel and reinstalled, the radio worked fine. Hope this helps

Thanks SST and Ivan. I followed Ivan's step but it refused to enter 'ship mode'. It just kept scanning radio stations. I tried multiple combos of the two buttons to no avail. I do remember this happening before but wanted to try one last time (but I forgot which buttons to press).



Audio upgrade in progress...will update.
