AZ Proving Grounds

Just heard a short news blurb that the AZ Proving Grounds is up for sale and operations will scaled by starting in March of this year. I can't find anything more about it yet. I'm sure there will be more in the paper tomorrow.



I know that the County and area city's offered a boat-load of money for them to stay but I guess it wasn't enough.



So I guess that means lots of lost jobs in our area. Yeah Ford!

Well ain't that just spiffy. Glad we were able to tour it when we did.

I am too. I'll miss seeing all of the new vehicles out on the road too. It's fun to try and guess what the changes are to the new models underneith the camo.

Ford is starting to run out of places to do testing in the winter. They sold the Naples, Florida Proving Ground to Harley a few years ago.

Heck, they can just drive through Detroit and save a lot of money. There are plenty of obstacles and rough terrain in Detroit!
