Is there a backup camera system that works in the tailgate handle on a 02 XLT?

I think still not available. There are some license plate frame designs, though.

there isn't one for the first gen but there is for the 2nd gen... I hid mine under the tailgate so you don't see it.

zcspec, you prbly could have put the camera from the F150 on your tailgate as they are the same gate an ford emblems.

I had no clue there was this option. Had I known, I may have tried it 1st. However, the cost isn't cheap. My back up cam ran me less than $50 and I had previous experiences with it so I knew what to expect.
