The big attractions for me are:

1) ultra, super low profile

2) three segments

3) full bed use when cover is completely opened, without removing it

4) they install very very well on the sport trac as opposed to most other trucks, smaller bed, more ridgid and better water seal due to factoru mounting locations.

The big issues I have with it are:

1) many people find that they are not water proof. My OEM cover never leaks.

2) BakFlip must think they leak also, because their are tubes that carry water into the front storage basin....

3) the cost...they are extremely expensive

4) cheap looking cables are used as latch levers instead of heavy duty button locks on the OEM cover

What do you guys think of this cover?

Also, this is a blirp about the G2 series BakFlip. The F1 is the same except it has an aluminum core and fiberglass exterior. The F1 is their best cover.

I like this cover. You do not have to take it off the truck should you want to use the entire bed. I had the oem cover on the 2001 and 2008 and it never leaked too. The bed becomes a large trunk that is dry. I would get more feed back from current owners as to how this cover really stays dry before I would spend the cash to upgrade.

Cool cover... I like it.

Did you happen to see the other lnk there.. "Sport Trac Truck Club Video"?

Dont think anyone here made it...
