At WOT & higher RPM, my original OEM belts are starting to squeal/chirp on me just before it shifts.

My truck is about a year and a half old. Is it typical that the OEM belt would need replacement after 24,000 miles?

Any advice for replacement options on my Gen2, V8?

Is there a product to consider that would provide any enhancements or should I just go with Fords (I believe its part # JK6-1032-AB)

I'm also considering upgrading the pulleys and this would be a good time . . . . what products are the Gen2 V8 owners using?

Goodyear makes a severe duty blue back racing belt......

other then that it is oem.......

IT is possible the tensioner is bad.... If it needs a belt i doubt Ford will fix it under warrenty... they will say it is a wear item...

The tensioner should be covered..

I agree, I doubt that the belt is covered, but I'll have them check the tensioner.

If the belt is bad, I'll check into the Goodyear racing belt . . . . is it the "Goodyear Gatorback"?

Thanks for your replies
