I have an 05 sport trac that has worn out body mount bushings. I'm going to replace them. My question is it very noticeable concerning the ride and handling with new ones?

When I did mine, it seemed I could tell a difference. I just had them done last December. Seemed like a firmer ride. I put all polyurethane body mounts in mine. My take is, replace all the mounts since you have to disassemble all the hardware. Replace any hardware that is badly deteriorated.

The poly cab bushings made the cab feel stiff, but firmer in turns to me. I like it. Our Tracs are sport trucks

I replaced the orange MCU body mounts with originals in 2014. Reason I replaced them with OEM was because I got an almost complete set from a long time member for around $100. Big mistake. "B" and "C" foam mounts are self destructing again. In 2017 bought a Daystar KF04015KV kevlar infused kit for $65 from Amazon. If memory serves me right, @Todd Z mentioned the Daystar body mounts were hollow and the Prothane were solid? Can anyone confirm this and how much it affects ride and handling. TIA

UPDATE 6/19/21 Pics shown are B pillar bushings. (Position C)

First pic torqued to Daystars recommended 45 ft/lb. Second pic same 45 ft/lb, torque with 2 inch washer added in lower bushing. Third pic OEM upper bushing flared sleeve from bottoming out on lower flange. Fourth pic cut flare off sleeve and added 2 inch OD washer inside lower bushing.

Glad to see someone can confirm my own hunch on this one. This is a situation to use aftermarket insulators. I used the Prothane ones. While I have said it being firmer, is because I knew they were installed. If I didn't know, I likely may have not noticed it. It is not firm by a large amount. Overall, she rides likes she should.
