It's possible. You're going to be spending about $20k or more just for the engine, though. Then the modifications and labor necessary to put it in won't be cheap.

All said and done, you'd have a fast (for a truck) Sport Trac with about $60k in it (if you bought it new) and worth about $20k. I don't generally consider costs/value with vehicle mods but this is one I would personally consider since I don't particularly care much for the Gen2s. Just not a sport truck kinda guy is all; no offense to anyone. I'm sure it'd be worth it to some, though.

I think its a 4-cam motor. It fits in the Mustang as the engine box is wider by a couple of inches. (sorta why we can't get Mustang headers to fit our trucks) You most likely would be in for some serious frame/suspension work, as some of that stuff would have to be relocated. I mean if you got some serious cash, go for it. Just don't think its a"drop-in". JMO, Bob

You could always Add a Blower - then if you wanted, always stroke it to 5.0 liters for another 50 hp - without anything but a blower - 100+ hp gain - heads, E85, and proper tune scores mid 500 bhp - 12,000 cheaper than a Boss and doable with hand tools!
