Does anyone think that he really cares? He's a second-term President with his pockets full of oil money and getting richer everyday. His refusal to budge on rising gas prices and the debacle that is now going on in New Orleans further show his lack of foresight and leadership. Just my $0.02 worth since this is America and I am entitled to my opinion.

let the flaming begin!:D

He has made mistakes but he is only a human, trying to pick up the broken pieces Clinton left him.....

How is is stock portfolio doing? I'll bet it isn't down that many percentage points.

Hell-- he'll even get a $million/year job afterwards consulting for Haliburton!

Of course, Haliburton owes him big time. That is the least they could do.

That is the only downfall of limiting a presidents term. Once they get re-elected, they don'a care anymore. They got the second term and now can take all the bribes they want to further themselves by screwing everyone else.

Tom

The broken pieces Clinton left him...

As opposed to all the new pieces he broke himself?

You guys make me laugh. Wake up and smell the coffee (to quote one of the all-time best columnists in the world.) W is as bad as or worse than Bill. Just in different ways.

Anyone wanna name a single president that hasn't made a fortune because of office? anyone wanna check the stocks of any president? anyone wanna find a leader of a nation going back about 7 thousand years? I think hes done about as well and as badly as every other president weve had. What are WE doing? Are WE helping? Does the guy in the mirror do something to help while he's deciding who is and isn't helping? just curious.

Yeah...well if some people had their way they would figure out a way to blame Bush for the Hurricane-actually it has been referred to that he didn't provide enough money in the budget to make Louisianna (esp.NO) safe. Like 145 mph winds and 30-35' of waves could ever be safely prevented. Now he is actually pocketing all this money from the present gas situation. His approval ratings drop-forget that virtually everyone thought their were weapons of mass destruction before the war, the majority of Americans supported the war. The american red cross made enough money to buy a small country with the magnetic usa flags people ran out and bought. When he gets done with this term he's gonna be an adviser for Haliburton-after he robs everyone of us our money through gas profits in his pockets. Its unbelievable how much blame one man can take. Oh yeah, its his fault its taking so long to get everyone out of NO and get the city on track...it couldn't be that this is a tremendous overtaking that we have never ever had to do before. I bet Kerry is glad he got robbed at the last election (Bush did this too) too bad his brother Jeb wwill continue the web of lies and deceit for pure evil profit. Everyone have a nice weekend, and if you don't by all means blame Pres Bush.

Greg,

Welcome to the blame club. Clinton got it for years and now it's Bush's turn in the barrel.

The only two Presidents that never got blamed for anything that went wrong in my lifetime are JFK (he died too soon and too young) and Ronald Reagon (Mr. Teflon himself. But, DAMN! He was so likeable.)

I don't remember the ones before me, though I've read about them and I believe it was pretty much the same for them as well.

:D

I'm sure things would be much better if John Kerry had won. At least he would have sent these poor people ketchup.

If Kerry had won the Republicans would find a way to blame all of the hurricanes on him personally.

In fact - Pat Robertson would be telling us how it was God smiting us for having the gall to elect John Kerry President!

Some of you guys are so full of hate you will never see the good in anyone.

I hate to talk politics, it never acheives anything, because it always turns into a blame game. For what it is worth corporate America makes or breaks any politition, party affiliation doesnt matter......JMO....:)

I'm definitely not W's biggest fan, as many of you know, but I definitely don't find fault with him for having and accumulating money and personal assets. After all, who would you want running your company--Someone who has proven to be successful enough in the business world to have such money (or, if s/he inherited that money, to at least be successful enough to not squander it), or someone who lacks the skills to have such success?

Greg - Actually Bush and Haley Barbour HAVE been blamed for the hurricane. Robert Kennedy said that Bush and Barbour argued against the Kyoto Treaty and that since "global warming" has been allowed to continue it has fueled the hurricanes to such intensity. Talk about junk science.

I've been using the wacko smiley a lot lately.

Global warming is real. The increasing severity of hurricanes over the last decade or so actually proves it.

But what's causing it is unkown.

Natural?

Man caused?

A combination of the two?

Personally, I'm leaning toward political speeches and the blame game between the parties being the main cause.

Oh, yeah - And talk radio.

A lot of hot air being generated these days!
