best selling truck in the segment

What, pray tell, is its segment? What does it compete against in that segment?

I'm curious as there are so many automotive market segments that they're hard to keep straight.

I'd assume that it is a compact truck--an area from which at least one major competitor has withdrawn--but I'm not positive.

Perfect for the teenage boy that wants a lowered truck but doesn't want to do any wrenching. As long as he doesn't mind how ugly it is.

There are a LOT of buyers who want something like this, and if Toyota is the only one offering it, then I'm not surprised that it is best-in-segment.

I'm not too familiar with the suzuki, but the other 3 are a more "traditional" styled truck, so the Xrunner is the only truck in its segment which caters to the apparently large demographic of people who want, well, that.

In my area I don't any of the X runners. Lots of pre-runners though.

But by and large, I live in an area where the people who would be buying the Xrunner (teens and 20-somethings) subscribe to the ideal car being a "Fast & Furious" styled honda civic or a ridiculously lifted truck, generally chevy or ford. Slammed trucks are considered "gay" here, or so I'm informed.

tacoma's, x-runners, pre-runners, 4runners.........

they all sell very well

dropped off the escape today. nice knowing it. :driving:
