Can someone pls help with broken right turn signal plug

Hi

I have a 01 ST and the i had a problem with the right turn signal that work sometime whenever i move the tilt colum it work and sometime it doesnt . after further investigation i found out that i have broken wire on the top of my steering colum and that wire control the turn siganl and the right brake light .Now can i disconect that plug that sit next to the hazard button without trigging the airbag so i can put the wire back together

disconnect the battery and mash the brake pedal or headlights, to use up any residal power. then you will be ok

I repair the wire and now it works fine.

If it is like most, don't forget to use the ty-wrap, or "chicken band", to hold the harness

together, before you put the steering column back together!

Might as well check the plug in there that has caused a problem for some when you're in there working in the tilt column. Not sure if 01s were affected by this or not, but you can do a search.
