Hi all,
Each year I put together a car show for the Veterans at the VA Hospital in North Chicago, IL.
It is a non fundraiser, no hassle private show for the guys and gals here that we care for.
No catch...just a day to bring smiles to our Nations true Heroes.
This year it is Saturday, June 30th from Noon to 3:30pm.
Registration is free, free goodie bags, free refreshments and grub...and a some trophies for the Directors fav and the top 3 Veterans fav's.
I try to get a little bit of everything as far as different vehicles. I get it all from a 1921 Stutz fire engine to Marine Corps vehicles, muscle cars, rat rods, T-Buckets, Model A's and T's, Ferrari's Lambo's Replicas, Bugattis, Cobras, Shelby's, low riders, Harleys...the list goes on and on to new tricked out rides!
Here are a few links to past shows at the VA:

After the speakers and presentations, the Director climbs into the old Fire Truck and leads the cars in the Parade For Veterans. My friend even drives the oldest Veteran in his white Rolls Royce Silver Spur for the parade. The youngest Veteran gets to pic his or her favorite car to ride in for the parade too. We drive by the main buildings that we care for the Vets in so the guys and gals who are to sick to go out can still see and hear the cars as they pass by.
If anyone has any unique, classic or tricked out vehicle, you are most welcome to join in the fun.
As for the S.T's...I would hate to leave out our beloved 4 door sweeties, so I am trying to come up with something special if folks would like to join in. I was thinking having the ST's lined up...drop the tailgates and lay table clothes on them and do a real "tailgate" party with the food. I get a few hundred hot dogs and stuff donated...my family cooks them, and the car folks chow down!
So that is one idea...anyone else have any suggestions for the S.T.'s...that is if folks would like to attend. Let me know.
Sorry for the long post, just something I really get into because I love my Veterans!
